OUR PRIVACY POLICY.

eLegal Arts, Inc. ("eLA") knows that you care how information about you is used and shared. We hope that reading our Privacy Policy gives you a clear idea of how we gather and manage information about you. By visiting Riffin.com (our "Site") you are accepting the practices described in this Privacy Policy and those practices described in eLA's Terms and Conditions of Use. You are strongly encouraged to read eLA's Terms and Conditions of Use together with this Privacy Policy.

Our Site contains links to other sites. Once you enter another web site (whether through an advertisement, service, or content link), be aware that eLA is not responsible for the privacy practices of that site. We encourage you to look for and review the privacy statements of each and every web site that you visit through a link or advertisement on our Site.

While you may use some of the functionality of our Site without registration, a number of services on our Site require registration. If you use our Site without registering, the only information we collect will be non-personal information through the use of web server logs. If you choose to register with our Site for certain services, we require you to submit personal information. You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the personal information you submit to our Site. Inaccurate information will affect the information you receive when using our Site and our ability to contact you as contemplated in this Privacy Policy. For example, your email address should be kept current because that it is how we communicate with you.

NON-PERSONAL INFORMATION.

Even if you do not register with our Site, we collect non-personal information about your use of our Site. Non-personal information includes click-stream information (i.e., a record of the pages that you have visited or the services you have accessed from our Site, neither of which are associated with you personally).

How Non-Personal Information is Collected From You By the Use of Web Server Logs.

We collect non-personal information about your use of our Site through the use of web server logs. Web server logs record what pages were served to which requesting IP address (roughly equating to one user). This allows us to determine how many people view which pages, in what order. This data is never mixed with our user database, so we do not know which user went from this page to that page - just that "a" user did.

Why We Collect Non-Personal Information About You.

The non-personal information we collect about you is used to evaluate the performance of our Site and to improve the content and services we offer on our Site.

PERSONAL INFORMATION.

We collect personal information (e.g. your name, e-mail address, zip code and country) that you provide to us when you register as a member of our Site and/or when you update your member profile. We also gather personal information when you sign up to receive certain services or direct us to send you specified news letters or e-mail transmissions. If you sign up as a Webjockey, we also collect your telephone number, legal address and social security number.

Any business information, idea, concept or invention that you e-mail to us is non-confidential and not covered by this Privacy Policy. For a more detailed explanation of our treatment of these submissions please see our Terms and Conditions of use.

We do not collect personal information from any person we actually know is under the age of 13. The parent or guardian is solely responsible for providing supervision of the minor's use of our Site and assumes full responsibility for ensuring that no personal information regarding a child is disclosed.

Our Site does not permit children under the age of 13 to become registered users.

How Personal Information is Collected About You.

Newsletters and Emails.

At registration and at various times as you use our Site, you will be given the option of receiving recurring informational/promotional newsletters and/or services via email from our Site and/or directly from third parties including but not limited to music labels or their affiliates. Your choice in receiving these newsletters and services may be presented to you as an opportunity "opt-in" or "opt out." To "opt in," you must check a box that is unchecked by default next to a listed preference. To "opt out," you must uncheck a box that is unchecked by default next to a listed preference.

When you "opt-in" to receive newsletters or other services, you may be asked to provide personal information to our Site. For example, if you wish to receive a certain newsletter by email from us, you may be asked for your email address.

Market Research.

From time to time eLA conducts and/or sponsors online research surveys in order to gather feedback about our Site and our sponsors through email invitations, pop-up surveys and online focus groups.

When participating in a survey, you may be asked to submit personal information. This personal information is used for research purposes, and is not used for sales solicitations. When a survey is sponsored by a third party, results from the survey are reported to the sponsor. Personal information collected through market research will be used only by eLA and its service providers and contractors and will not be given or sold to a third party without your consent or as otherwise permitted by this Privacy Policy. For market research surveys, we will not knowingly accept survey responses from or conduct interviews with any person under the age of 18.

We provide these companies with only the information they need to perform their services and work closely with them to ensure that your privacy is respected and protected. These companies are prohibited by contract from using this information for their own marketing purposes or from sharing this information with anyone other than us.

Disclosures Required by Law

We may release personal information to third parties: (1) to comply with valid legal requirements such as a law, regulation, search warrant, subpoena or court order; or (2) in special cases, such as in response to a physical threat to you or others, to protect property or defend or assert legal rights. In the event that we are legally compelled to disclose your personal information to a third party, we will attempt to notify you unless doing so would violate the law or court order.

eLA operations and maintenance contractors sometimes have limited access to your personal information in the course of providing products or services to eLA. Access to your personal information by these contractors is limited to the information reasonably necessary for the contractor to perform its limited function for eLA. We also contractually require that our operations and maintenance contractors to (1) protect the privacy of your personal information consistent with this Privacy Policy and (2) not use or disclose your personal information for any purpose other than providing us with products and services or as required by law.

Disclosure to Third Party Contractor Web Sites

Certain content and services offered to you through our website are served on web sites hosted and operated by a company other than eLA ("Third Party Contractor Web Sites"). eLA does not disclose your personal information to these Third Party Contractor Web Sites without your consent, but you should be aware that any information you disclose once you access these other web sites is not subject to this Privacy Policy. eLA does not endorse and is not responsible for the privacy practices of these Third Party Contractor Web Sites. You should review the privacy policy posted on the other web site to understand how that Third Party Contractor Web Site collects and uses your personal information.

Disclosure to Linked Sites

In addition to the Third Party Contractor Web Sites that you may access as described above, for your convenience there are links to web sites operated by companies that are not affiliated with our Site and that do not have contracts to provide content or services through our Site. These links may be found in advertisements, referenced within content, or placed beside the names or logos of sponsors. eLA does not disclose your personal information to these web sites without obtaining your consent. eLA does not endorse and is not responsible for the privacy practices of these sites. If you choose to link to one of these third party web sites, you should review the privacy policy posted on the other web site to understand how that web site collects and uses your personal information.
