Atlanta’s Ananda Project, headed by Chris Brann, is as smooth as a mint julep on a warm summer night. While many producers have appropriated elements of minimal house into their current repertoire, Brann continues to show that his focus remains on soulful, atmospheric, jazz-infused house.
Night Blossom is a remix album based on the success of 2007’s Fire Flower. Brann enlisted the help of such well known producers as King Britt, Rurals, Aquanote and Kyoto Jazz Massive to churn the original tracks into sweet melodic cream. Every chord and softy echoing vocal strikes an emotional and visceral resonance that lulls and coos the listener into a state of sublime euphoria.
