French indie duo Mlle Caro and Franck Garcia seem to have taken a page from Claude DeBussy's composition notebook on their newest collaboration, bringing to life DeBussy's famous enigmatic statement: "Music is the space between the notes." Full of intimate whispers and industrial beats, "Pain Disappears," Mlle Caro and Franck Garcia's smashing debut, has been immediately dubbed a "crossover" album threatening transcend the barriers of genre and explode onto the wider music scene in a spark-filled flash of ethereal minimalist riffs and tech-savvy experimentalism.
String orchestra, harp and guitar all make appearances on "Pain Disappears," creating a swirling ambiance of layered orchestration that remains firmly rooted in electronic sound.
