"The Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste"
by Ministry

"Ministry: The Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste"

One of the seminal bands of the industrial movement, Ministry rocked it hard, dark and mechanical with the 1989 release of "The Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste."

Imagine a sound compiled of guitar carnage, surgical drills and hard beats. Classic tracks like "Thieves", "Burning Inside", and the concert staple "So What" showcase their talent for creating a dark soundscape. Other standout tracks include "Never Believe", "Test", and the more than memorable "Cannibal Song" which features vocalist Chris Connelly.

This album came before the widely recognized "Psalm 69," which had more commercial success, yet it remains a classic for those who wish to look back at a time when rock music was dark and brooding without being morose or moody.

If you like this album, check out the prerequisite "Use Your Illusion 1," Metallica's black album, and "A Night at the Opera" by Queen.
